My Name is Ms. Damashata Washington.
Some people call me Miss D, others call me Miss D. Money Washington, and others call me Six2andsexy!
I was born in San Mateo, California to the parents of Mary Fances Hollins (deceased) and Richard Lee Washington. I currently reside in San Jose, California. My mother raised myself, my twin sister J’myya (Miss J.), and my older sister Chantel. We didn’t have money. My mom had a home on the eastside of San Jose while I was growing up and I remember it burnt down. After that, my mother had a house in South San Jose, at 388 Swaps Drive. My mother tried to raise me right.
Despite the hardship I went through with both my mother and father and the many challenges I have been through for example, doing stupid stuff in order to take care of myself, homelessness when my mother didn’t want me to live with her anymore, and even attempting suicide on numerous occasions after my mother’s “MOM”:
Glady’s Marie Collier passed away, not to mention, being sexually assaulted (raped) at 19. You’d think the word NO would really mean NO! However, to some men it doesn’t mean NO. To them it means YES! Furthermore, I even have a learning disability even though a majority of the time, it doesn’t seem to be that way. Through all of these challenges, I have managed to gain more strength, confidence, and even over come a disability I certain areas. I have had many people that have help guide me through every positive idea I have had in mind and throw in ideas where needed.
All my life, my mom loved to make sure we had nice clothes, from the places she could afford, and both my twin sister and I were big girls we stand 6ft 2 inches tall. We are considered to not be just plus size women, but Big Beautiful Women. My mom always called me conceded as I loved fashion just as she did. Not only fashion, but I was forever taking photos of myself.
In addition the major challenges in my life, I have also been through some pretty challenging boyfriends in my life. This passed summer, I was with a man whom not only I had trusted, but emotional abused me, and threatened me on numerous occasions a man who lied, cheated me out of money, and I didn’t even realize it until it was too late. After I stopped dealing with him, I knew I had to focus on what I really loved and that was me. It was not only focusing on me as a person, but my photos, fashion, and trying to focus on ways to give back to the things I love, admire, and believe in.
I believe everyone has a dream and my dream is Fashion Shows our name for the ladies in fashion shows is XXL (xtra xtraordinary lady’s). We are not a business or a corporation. We do this on a volunteer basis only. I am also the proud owner of the real (reality show bible) entitled Lovin’ Large that is based on larger women finding love too (it is copyright). I may not be perfect and may not know everything, but I know I have people pulling for what I believe in. From Allen Challenger of 510 Photography, to Linda Ligons-West of Exceptional Hair, Volita Jackson a friend and church mentor, to the ladies on the Fashion Show Team (Michele Thomas, Selina Mercado, and many more), Kia of CuteNTrendy and Durell (durell music).
The game plan is to eventually run the Administrative portion to fashion shows, have a back stage coordinator, and actually be in fashions shows, with the team that is now put together, and eventually have more and more people involved besides ourselves. As a BBW female I know I am sexy, smart, strong minded, as well as a hard worker.
Some Big Beautiful Women usually lack self confidence and end up in very bad domestic relationships and more so end up committing suicide. Read more on the poem page The Beauty of a BBW written by Khari Toure from his book Curvey and Confident.
Furthermore, we are subject to Heart Disorders, Cancer, Diabetes, and eventually end up on Dialysis. I would like to be able to do things in order to give back to organizations as well as allow Big Beautiful Women fulfill their dream also on a red carpet as well.
What makes a man not love a Big Beautiful Women? In my opinion, I would have to say, she can’t wear a two piece bathing suit. LOL! NOT! I think most men are ashamed to be with larger women. I am not sure why. By being larger women; I can actually keep you warm in the bed. LOL! Therefore, I wrote the reality show
LOVIN’ LARGE! If you are interested in finding out more about LOVIN’ LARGE, please click on the page: About LOVIN’ LARGE. Feel Free to read it and make comments.
Eventually, I know someone from a Production Company will take real reality to the next level and actually be willing to pick up the reality show bible and sponsor any of the fashions shows we have make something happen of it.
I want to show people that we as Big Beautiful Women still have a clothing industry and not only a clothing industry, but men can love us just the same as any other women. I believe that god has had a calling for me the entire time, but I just never knew what is was before, or was too busy to even realize it before as I allowed others to stop me from pursuing it.
My inspirations are as follows: God, My Mom, Ms. Sharon Fowler, and Mo’Nique the comedian and my favorite basketball player former LA Laker; Shaquel O’neal, and any Big Beautiful Women that has a dream to fulfill their goal.
Sincerely,
Damashata Washington
